Reinstetle Resigns As Assistant Coach At Ole Miss
12/11/2009 | Baseball
Reinstetle, who joined the Rebels following the 2006 season, served as the recruiting coordinator for the Rebels over the past three seasons and also served as the hitting coach and worked with the infielders.
"I'm resigning my position as an assistant coach with the Ole Miss baseball program for personal reasons," Reinstetle said. "In the best interests of my family, this was a decision I felt I had to make at this time."
"We would like to thank Rob Reinstetle for the work he did with our program over the past three and a half years," Bianco said. "We have experienced success under his tenure as an assistant coach and a recruiting coordinator, and we wish him well."
In his time with the Rebels, Reinstetle helped coach the Rebels to three post-season appearances. Ole Miss advanced to three straight NCAA Regionals - hosting in 2007 and 2009 - and advanced to a pair of NCAA Super Regionals in those same two years. In 2008, the Rebels went on the road for the post-season, falling to top-ranked Miami in the Championship game of the NCAA Regional.
The Rebels also claimed the 2009 Southeastern Conference Championship with a 20-10 record in conference play and a 44-20 record overall.
Reinstetle came to Ole Miss after spending the 2006 season as the recruiting coordinator at South Alabama. While at South Alabama, Reinstetle helped lead the Jaguars to a post-season appearance in the NCAA Oxford Regional.
Prior to South Alabama, Reinstetle spent two years (2004 and 2005) at the College of Charleston as an assistant coach. At Charleston, Reinstetle helped lead the Cougars to back-to-back Southern Conference titles and appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
Reinstetle also spent time as an assistant coach at Okaloosa-Walton Community College (2003), Cincinnati (2002) and Ohio-Dominican College (2001).
