Rebels Fall In Series Finale To No. 1 Florida

The Gators added to their lead in the fourth. Shortstop Megan Bush hit a two-run home run down the left field line to extend the margin to 3-0 and second baseman Aja Paculba knocked an RBI double to left to give the Gators a 4-0 advantage.
Becky Nye started for the Rebels and took the loss. She pitched 3.2 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits, while striking out one. Freshman Kelly Chandler entered in relief of Nye in the fourth and shut down the Gators the rest of the game, allowing no runs and only one hit in the final 3.1 innings.
