"Meet The Rebels" Saturday In The Grove

OXFORD, Miss. - Fans will have an opportunity to meet the 2010-11 men's and women's basketball teams Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Grove prior to the Ole Miss-Auburn football game.
Both the men's and women's teams, along with head coaches Andy Kennedy and Renee Ladner and their staffs, will be in front of the student union in the Grove signing posters and handing out schedule cards.
The women's team will host an exhibition game next Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. against the University of West Georgia prior to the season opener on Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. against Jackson State.
Senior guard Kayla Melson, who led the Southeastern Conference in assists last year, will guide a young, but talented squad into the new season.
The men will face Delta State in an exhibition game at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5. Their season opener is Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. against Arkansas State.
Senior guards Chris Warren and Zach Graham anchor a nucleus of returning players who will look to build on the success of last year's 24-win, SEC West title team that made it to the NIT Final Four. Warren and Graham are two of the most productive and winningest players in school history and will try to close out their Rebel careers with an SEC title and an NCAA Tournament berth.
