Thiemann Twins To Be Featured On SEC Weekly

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss men's tennis twins Marcel Thiemann and Chris Thiemann will be featured on this week's "SEC Weekly" show on ESPNU.
The sophomore duo is ranked No. 20 in the latest ITA National Rankings released Tuesday, while Marcel is ranked No. 33 in singles. They helped lead the Rebels to their ninth consecutive SEC West Championship and the semifinals of the SEC Tournament for the eighth time in the last nine years.
Marcel went 2-2 at No. 1 singles and doubles and was instrumental in the Rebels downing Kentucky 4-0 to reach the semifinals. Thiemann upset 13th-ranked Eric Quigley in straight sets at No. 1 singles, to give the Rebels a 3-0 lead after he teamed with his brother, Chris, to cinch the doubles point with a win at No. 1. For his performance, Marcel was named to the first ever All-Tournament Team.
Marcel owns a 13-8 dual match record, while Chris is 16-4. They are 19-5 in doubles and went 10-1 in the SEC regular season.
The weekly show will air Wednesday at 5 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
