OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's basketball team has signed Quinndella Ford and Destinie Gibbs to National Letters of Intent, head coach Renee Ladner announced today.

"Quinndella and Destinie are two really good talents and they will fit very well into our program," Lander said. "They are two more players to add to the talent we already have and they will complement our program very well."

Ford is a 5-7 senior guard at Pontotoc High School in Pontotoc, Miss. Earlier this month, she was named to the Clarion-Ledger's Dandy Dozen. As a junior at 1A Okolona, she averaged 27.8 points per game and had been a starter since her freshman season. As a junior, Ford was also named to the Daily Journal All-Area team and scored a season-high 45 points. In July, she scored 12 points in the Mississippi High School All-Star Basketball game.

"Quinndella is instant offense. She is an exceptional talent and is very talented on the offensive end of the floor," Ladner said. "She is a strong guard that can play the one or the two, has a deadly jump shot and as the ability to get to the rim. The game changes when she is in the game because she can flat out score."

Gibbs, a native of Oxford, Ga., is a four-star recruit and is ranked by ESPN HoopGurlz as the 23rd best wing player in the 2012 class. She is a 5-11 wing who attends McEachern High School and she plays AAU for Georgia Ice. As a junior, she averaged 16 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals per game.

"Destinie plays with physicality and toughness and has a really good mid-range game," Ladner said. "She can play the two or three and can knock down the three. She is a really good on-ball defender and is an extremely hard worker."
