Rebel Golfers Continue Play At Chris Schenkel

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Ole Miss men's golf team scored better on Saturday at the Chris Schenkel Invitational, carding a 292, led by junior Joe David's 2-under 70 at the Forest Heights Country Club.
"Scoring conditions were perfect today. We played good on the final holes, but struggled at the start of the round," head coach Ernest Ross said. "It seems we miss shots in the wrong places or at the wrong times. Our short games are not as sharp as they need to be. We have worked hard the last two days after the round to correct our errors. Our players are not satisfied with the way they are playing individually."
David posted two birdies and an eagle on three of his last four holes to rebound from a disappointing first round for the 70. Junior Billy Brozovich also came back with a better second round, carding a 73. Senior Jonathan Randolph turned in a 74, and junior Zach Primavera finished with a 75.
Auburn shot four better than yesterday with a 275, and maintains a six-shot lead over Florida, who posted a 278 in the second round for a total of 560. LSU sits in third at 564, and Virginia is fourth at 565 and North Carolina State rounds out the top five at 570.
