THIS WEEK FOR OLE MISS:
Ole Miss continues its 15-game home stand with a pair of midweek games against Western Kentucky at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday before hosting Lipscomb in a three-game series over the weekend. Friday's game is at 6:30 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday's games beginning at 1:30 p.m.

NEXT WEEK FOR THE REBELS:
Ole Miss continues to play at home next week with a single midweek contest against Jackson State on Tuesday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. The Rebels then kick-off Southeastern Conference play over the weekend with a three-game series against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Friday's game will begin at 6 p.m., while Saturday's game is at 2 p.m. on SportSouth and Sunday's game is set for a 1:30 p.m. start.

PROBABLE PITCHING MATCH-UPS:

WKU - Tanner Perkins, So., LHP
OM - Matt Tracy, Sr., LHP
NOTING TRACY: Senior left-hander Matt Tracy makes his third start of the year and fourth appearance this season when he takes the mound against WKU on Tuesday night. Tracy holds a 1-0 record and has pitched a total of 11.1 innings to date. The southpaw holds a 4.76 ERA with 12 strikeouts and three walks on the year. Tracy made his first start this season against Memphis (2/22) and picked up the win in 6.0 innings of work. He took no decision in his start against Austin Peay (3/1) last week in a game the Rebels won 5-4 in the 10th inning.

WEDNESDAY, 6:30 P.M.

OM - Mike Mayers, Fr., RHP
NOTING MAYERS: Freshman right-hander Mike Mayers makes his second start of the season and fifth appearance when he takes the mound on Wednesday night. Mayers is 1-0 as a starter after picking up the win over Austin Peay last Wednesday in his first start. Mayers has worked a total of 9.1 innings this season with a 4.82 ERA with five strikeouts and two walks to date. The right-hander is holding batters to a 2.57 average against.

A LOOK AT WESTERN KENTUCKY:
The Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky enter the midweek series with an overall record of 6-5 and are coming off a 1-2 weekend in a tournament at the College of Charleston where WKU defeated New York Tech, but fell to Auburn and the host College of Charleston. As a team, the Hilltoppers are batting .338 and are led at the plate by Matt Rice with a .408 average and a team-leading 16 RBI with one home run. The pitching staff holds a 4.33 ERA and Tuesday night starter Tanner Perkins has worked a team-leading 16.1 innings. In that time, Perkins has posted a 2-1 record with a 3.86 ERA while striking out 12 and walking four batters.

OLE MISS VS. WESTERN KENTUCKY:
Ole Mss and Western Kentucky have faced off a total of eight times in the history of the two programs, with the Rebels holding a 5-3 record in the series. Rebel head coach Mike Bianco is 3-3 against the Hilltoppers in his time at Ole Miss, last facing Western Kentucky in the 2009 Oxford Regional to advance to an NCAA Super Regional against Virgniia.

SOME HAVE HIT STREAKS ON THE LINE:
Several Rebels enter the midweek with hit streaks on the line, but none longer than Matt Tracy's five game hit streak. Matt Smith and Alex Yarbrough both hold three game hit streaks, while Preston Overbey and Tanner Mathis have both hit safely in back-to-back games.

OTHERS KEEP REACHING BASE:
While hit streaks are an eye-catching stat, an often overlooked stat is reaching base. Alex Yarbrough has reached base safely in six straight games. Matt Tracy is right behind him with five, while Matt Smith has reached four. Matt Snyder held the longest streak this year with 12 games.
