Gleadall Leads Rebel Golfers In Second Round Of SEC Championship

AUBURN, Ala. - Junior Natalie Gleadall shot a 75 in the second round of the SEC Championship here Saturday at the Auburn University Golf Club to lead the Ole Miss women's golf team.
Gleadall moved up to a tie for 28th in the individual standings. Junior Haley Millsap shot a 78, senior Jillian Brodd had a 79, and junior Ashley Lance rounded out the scoring with an 82.
"Natalie had a better day improving from her first round of 8 fairways and greens hit to 12 which made scoring that much easier," head coach Michele Drinkard said. "She gave herself much better birdie opportunities today, but the putts just didn't fall for her. If she plays with that attitude tomorrow the putts will fall.
"As a team, we have not played this course well yet which has really surprised me. Tomorrow I have challenged them to go out and play like they want it and nothing is getting in their way. Sometimes you have to get just mad enough to be furious about your performance to just go out and handle it. Tomorrow that is what they have to do, not because I want them to, but because they want to."
Auburn maintained its lead over Alabama with a second round 290. At 573, they lead Alabama (582) by nine strokes. LSU stands third at 587, Tennessee is fourth at 593, and Arkansas rounds out the top five at 594.
