Ole Miss Fifth After Two Rounds At Rebel Intercollegiate

OXFORD, Miss. - With conditions much better Saturday, the Ole Miss women's golf team shot a second round 299 and stands in fifth place heading into Sunday's final round at the Ole Miss Golf Course.
Tennessee fired a tournament 18-hole record 279 to maintain control of the field. The Lady Vols were led by Nathalie Mansson's 5-under 67, which is also a tournament record. Her teammate, Erica Popson, carded a 69 and is one back.
The Lady Vols (569) hold a commanding lead over second-place Tulsa who shot 293 for a two-day total of 593. Coastal Carolina sits two back of Tulsa at 595 with a second round 297. Their No. 1 player, Jessica Alexander rebounded from a tough opening round to shoot 69.
For Ole Miss, junior Natalie Gleadall posted a 74 and at 145 is tied for seventh, just one back of the top five. Junior Ashley Lance carded another 73 and is tied for 10th at 146, just two off the top five. Haley Millsap and Jillian Brodd each turned in a 76 while Haley Sanders finished with a 77 to round out the Rebel scoring.
