Wahl Named To Cape Cod League All-Star Team

OXFORD, Miss. - Right-handed pitcher Bobby Wahl has been selected to the Cape Cod League All-Star team and will represent the Cotuit Kettleers in the Jordan's Furniture Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star game on Friday, July 29, at Fenway Park.
Wahl will pitch for the West team in the annual game that will be playing at Fenway Park for the third straight year. The game will start at 6 p.m. CT and for the first time, Comcast SportsNet New England will televise the CCBL All-Star Game from Fenway Park in Boston. The telecast will also be carried on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Comcast SportsNet California, Comcast SportsNet MidAtlantic, The Mtn and CSS.
This summer, Wahl has been terrific for the Kettleers this fall and made appearances in 14 games. In that time, he has worked 20.0 innings and posted a 1.35 ERA. The right-hander is 1-1 with five saves and has struck out 35 batters while walking only 11. He has allowed only three earned runs and is holding opponents to a .183 batting average against.
Last season in Oxford, Wahl appeared in 18 games with one start as he posted a four saves and took a pair of losses in his only two decisions. He also combined for two shutouts in his 30.0 innings of work. In that time on the mound, Wahl struck out 26 and walked 11 batters.
