OXFORD, Miss. - With a week of practice under their belts, the Ole Miss baseball team will continue fall ball this weekend with a pair of scrimmages sandwiched around the Rebel football game with Georgia.
Ole Miss will take to the diamond at 6:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon for a scrimmage before hitting the field at O-U Stadium again on Sunday at noon for the second scrimmage of the weekend. Fans are invited to come out and see the squad in action as it prepares for the 2012 season.
The Rebels welcomed several new faces to the diamond this fall as a part of a recruiting class that was ranked third nationally by Collegiate Baseball on Tuesday when the publication announced its annual recruiting rankings.
It is the highest ranked recruiting class in program history.
Ole Miss will open the 2012 season on February 17 with the first game of a three-game series at TCU.
