Rebels Take Part in #SECTipoff15
Ole Miss along with the other teams in the SEC kicked off the 2014-15 basketball season with SEC Tipoff at the SEC Network studios in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday. Head coach Matt Insell and seniors Tia Faleru and Danielle McCray represented Ole Miss during the daylong media carwash. Insell and players did radio and TV interviews, as well as photo shoots throughout the day. The players also had a chance to listen to some of the top women in the basketball industry speak about life after basketball.

Additionally, Coach Insell participated in the Coaches Clicker, breaking down a play that the Rebels run. Check it out below:

What The Rebels Have Coming Back
The Rebels lose four-year starter Valencia McFarland but do return senior forward Tia Faleru, who is the leagues top returning scorer (16.4 points per game) and rebounder (9.4 rebounds per game). Faleru, who was a first team All-SEC AP selection and a second team ALL-SEC coaches' selection in 2013-14, is just 41 points away from 1,000 and will join 26 other Rebels who have reached the milestone. The Rebels also return Shequila Joseph who started each game of her freshman season and Bretta Hart who was Ole Miss' lone freshman to record a double-double last year with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Austin Peay. Ole Miss also has sharpshooter Gracie Frizzell back in the lineup along with Amber Singletary who knocked down five triples against Georgia last year and look for Danielle McCray to continue her solid rebounding efforts into her senior season.

Western Kentucky Game Added to TV Schedule

It was announced this week that the Ole Miss-Western Kentucky game will be televised as apart of the C-USA TV package. The addition of the game gives Ole Miss 10 games televised on a linear network this season.

From Coach Insell … On The Seniors
The Ole Miss basketball team will rely heavily on the senior leadership of Tia Faleru, Danielle McCray and Amber Singletary to lead a young Rebel squad this season. Head coach Matt Insell talks about his senior trio.

Tia: "Tia established herself as one of the elite players in the SEC last season. We are looking for her to provide even more production and leadership throughout her senior season"

Danielle: "Danielle has worked very hard on her game this offseason. We are expecting her on-court contributions to increase, while providing our team with some much needed consistency as a senior leader."

Amber: "Having Amber's passion and energy around our team everyday will give our younger players someone that they can look up to on days that they might need some extra energy."
