Rebel Netters Add Six More Wins in Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The third day of competition at the FGCU Invitational brought six more wins for the Ole Miss men's tennis team, including a win over the No. 15 ranked team in the nation in doubles.
The day began with the Rebels facing TCU in singles. Continuing to prepare for the dual match portion of the season, head coach Toby Hansson switched up the flights for some of the players. Senior William Kallberg defeated Trey Daniel 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 in Flight 2, Ricardo Jorge, ranked No. 120, beat Trevor Johnson 7-6, 7-5, and Vinod Gowda defeated 91st-ranked Will Stein 6-2, 6-4.
Following the singles, the two teams faced off in doubles. Kallberg teamed up with freshman Gustav Hansson to knock off the No. 15 ranked duo of Cameron Norrie and Johnson 7-5, to improve to 4-1 at the tournament and 7-2 overall. In Flight 2, Joe Rogers and Zvonimir Babic won their match 6-4, as did Vinod Gowda and Zach Wilder.
The Rebels will conclude play in the tournament Sunday with doubles 10 a.m. CT against FGCU and TCU, followed by singles in the afternoon versus FGCU.
