Rebels Kick Off 2015-16 Season

OXFORD, Miss. â€" The Ole Miss women's basketball team opened up the 2015-16 season with the first official practice of the season on Sunday afternoon at the Tuohy Center. The practice, which was spirited and intense from both coaches and players, lasted two hours and 45 minutes at the Rebel practice facility.
From Coach Insell:
On his third opening practice as Ole Miss head coach …
"The biggest thing that is different is that the court is smaller and that speaks to our athleticism and length that we have on the court now. We look more like an SEC team from 1-13 than we have in the past. That makes the court shrink on them sometimes and they don't' see things, but they're going to start seeing that."
On today's practice …
"It was a great first day, probably the best we've had in our three years. This team has a lot of potential to be really special and we've got to continue to work each and everyday. We have 29 more practices before our first game. We have to keep working each day to improve on the little things. When they get those things we'll see big results from this group."
