Starting Five

  1. 1. The Rebels play a tune up game against Division II Christian Brothers before kicking off the 2015-16 regular season on Friday Nov. 13 vs. Mississippi Valley State in the annual School Kids game. The game will tip off at 11 a.m. at Tad Smith Coliseum.
  2. Friday's exhibition marks the first college game for Ole Miss' freshmen, Alissa Alston (New Haven, Conn.), Madinah Muhammad (Chicago, Ill.), Cecilia Muhate Pena (Madrid, Spain), Torri Lewis (Olive Branch, Miss.) and Jonell Williams (Palatka, Fla.)
  3. This is the third consecutive season the Rebels and Lady Bucs have opened the season with an exhibition game. Last season, the Rebels won 111-43 in Oxford. Ole Miss is quite familiar with Christian Brothers as assistant coach Todd Schaefer was head coach at CBU from 1999-2004 and his niece, Ashley is a redshirt senior on the team.
  4. Friday's game will match up two former MHEA home school teammates. Ole Miss' freshman Torri Lewis was a member of the Memphis Area Home School Education Association (MHEA) as is Christian Brothers freshman Samantha Pierce.
  5. Erika Sisk enters her junior year just 303 points away from 1,000 career points. She will become the second player to achieve the milestone under head coach Matt Insell and staff and will become the 27th player in program history to top 1,000 career points.
