Live Blog No.15 Ole Miss vs. Jackson State
OXFORD, Miss. - After being on the road for six of their first seven matches, the No. 15 ranked Ole Miss men's tennis team returns home for their next four matches, including kicking off the Southeastern Conference schedule this weekend.

First up is a doubleheader against Jackson State Tuesday at Noon at the Gillom Sports Center. Following that match, the Rebels will welcome Tulane Friday at 4 p.m., before hosting No. 23 Vanderbilt in the SEC opener Sunday at 1 p.m.

"This is a good progression into the SEC season playing the matches against Jackson State and Tulane," head coach Toby Hansson said. "We've had a lot of tough matches this year. We are definitely match-tough. We've experienced a lot of pressure situations early in the season, so we know what it's like to play in big matches and under pressure."

Recapping National Team Indoor ...
This marks the first match for the Rebels since the National Team Indoor Championships in which they went 1-2, including a 4-3 win over then No. 10 UCLA. After falling behind 3-1, the Rebels picked up huge wins at four, five and six from senior William Kallberg, freshman Zvonimir Babic and the clincher from Vinod Gowda. In the first round, Ole Miss went toe-to-toe with No. 1 Oklahoma before falling in a close match to the eventual winners.

"We pushed Oklahoma hard, that match could have gone either way," Hansson said. "To be able to follow up that performance with another quality match against UCLA, being down 3-1 and coming back was huge for the team. We played some gutsy tennis down the stretch, winning a tiebreaker at No. 5 in the final set to set up Vinod for the clinch."

National Rankings ...
In the latest ITA National Rankings, the Rebels moved up to No. 15. It's their highest ranking since the 2013 season when they finished the year ranked No. 10. In the singles rankings, Nik Scholtz is ranked No. 59 and Stefan Lindmark is ranked No. 78. William Kallberg and Gustav Hansson are ranked No. 55 in doubles. The first computer rankings will be released Tuesday, so there will likely be some changes to the rankings, although the Rebels expect to stay somewhere in the range they are currently at.

Ole Miss is one of 18 schools with both its men's and women's tennis teams in the ITA's top 25. The women are currently ranked No. 24 in the nation.

Match Scoring Format ...
There are several changes to the format of matches this year. All matches will feature no-ad scoring. Also, there will be no warm-up with the opponent prior to each doubles and singles match.

• Doubles - Each doubles will be first to 6, by two. A regular tiebreaker (first to 7, by two) will be played if a set reaches 6-all.
• Intermission - There will be a five minute break between doubles and singles.
• Singles - Each singles match will be best 2-of-3 sets (first to 6, by two). A regular tiebreaker (first to 7, by two) will be played if a set reaches 6-all.
