Live Blog No. 19 Ole Miss vs. South Alabama




OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 19 Ole Miss men's tennis team concludes a three-match homestand with their final non-conference match of the season Friday against South Alabama. The match begins at 3 p.m., at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center, weather permitting.

Fans will receive a souvenir poster of senior Stefan Lindmark.

Last Time Out...
Ole Miss comes into the match at 4-2 overall, after splitting a pair of matches last weekend, sweeping Southern Miss 7-0 on Saturday and falling to No. 17 Memphis 4-1 on Sunday. Stefan Lindmark improved to 10-5 on the year and 4-1 at No. 1 singles. He also won his 70th career match.

Scouting South Alabama...
South Alabama comes into Friday's match ranked No. 74. The Jaguars are coming off a 7-0 win over Samford at home to improve to 8-4. Junior Tuki Jacobs leads the Jaguars with a 22-8 overall record, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Senior Tim Srkala owns a 9-3 overall record.

Series...
The Rebels own a 7-0 lead in the all-time series with South Alabama. Ole Miss defeated the Jaguars 4-1 in the 2007 NCAA second round in the last meeting between the two teams.

National Rankings...
In this week's Oracle ITA Rankings, the Rebels are ranked No. 19. Stefan Lindmark is ranked No. 69 in singles, while Filip Kraljevic and Zvonimir Babic made their debut in the doubles rankings at No. 54.

"The guys are eager to get back to competition. Last Sunday was not indicative of who we are, and I know that they guys are looking forward to showing that on Friday. I am certain they will play hard for each other and do the right things out there in order for us to be successful and get back on the winning track."
