2/16/2017 | Men's Tennis
OXFORD, Miss. â€" The Ole Miss men's and women's tennis teams are excited to announce that fans will now be able to watch matches from anywhere in the world with the addition of live streaming via PlaySight.
Cameras have been installed on all six main courts at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center, allowing fans who can't make it to the matches and players' friends and family from back home to enjoy the tennis. It will also allow both teams to record matches so players and coaches can watch later.
"We have fans all over the world that want to follow Ole Miss tennis, and it's a great tool for the guys on our team to go back and watch their matches," men's tennis head coach Toby Hansson said. "We are very excited to have live streaming."
The women will be the first to experience the live streaming, as they host Lipscomb Friday at 1 p.m.
"Like Toby said, alums all over the world will be able to watch and families of our current players will now be able to watch their son or daughter play," women's head coach Mark Beyers said. "Sometimes we have fans who can't make it out to the matches, and now they'll still be able to watch us. It's a fanstastic addition to an already great tennis center."
To watch a match, fans can go to OleMissSports.com and click on the link in the calendar on the day of the particular match or click on the link for live video under the In Depth tab on the men's and women's tennis pages.
