Scholtz, Vorster set to represent South Africa…
This weekend, Nik Scholtz and Tucker Vorster will once again represent South Africa in Davis Cup action against Slovenia at the Irene Country Club in Pretoria. Back in February, Scholtz led off the Davis Cup tie against Estonia and beat former world No. 71 Jurgen Zopp to help his country to a 4-1 win. South Africa is looking to move up to Group I and eventually hoping to get back to the World Group. The Draws for the event will be announced later this week.
Captain Bhupathi…
After a successful pro career that included 12 grand slam titles, 1995 NCAA Doubles Champion Mahesh Bhupathi is captaining the India Davis Cup team for the first time. He played in 55 Davis Cup matches for India from 1995 to 2011. In February, Bhupathi was named the captain for the team, beginning with the upcoming tie this weekend against Uzbekistan, which will take place in Bangalore, India.
