Hansson Named to SEC Community Service Team
4/24/2018 | Men's Tennis
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition, the SEC once again highlighted a Community Service Team for men's tennis for the 2017-18 season. Ole Miss men's tennis senior Gustav Hansson is one of 13 selected to the team.
All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
Hansson participated in Groovin' at Move-In, helping new students move in to the dorms at the beginning of the school year. He also visited the Lafayette Elementary School with some of his teammates, helping a class of first graders learn all about the different cultures in his home country of Sweden and other countries.
The Rebels will head to Tuscaloosa, Alabama this week for the SEC Tournament, where they will face South Carolina in the second round Thursday at 12 p.m., at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
