Ole Miss begins SEC play on March 1 at Florida
OXFORD, Miss. – Carrying a three-match win streak into the weekend, Ole Miss Women's Tennis looks to finish strong in its pre-conference season, welcoming No. 21 UCF to the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center, located along Manning Way, for an 11 a.m. Sunday showdown.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rebels turned in a pair of sweeps in their midweek matchup, taking down Alcorn State in identical 4-0 decisions. After quickly picking up the doubles point in the opening contest, junior Cameron Kriscunas added the second point of the day via straight sets, finishing at No. 6 singles in just 15 minutes and not surrendering a point.
Classmate Alexa Bortles turned in a pair of singles wins on the day, while fellow junior Tereza Janatova picked up a win in the second contest and seniors Tea Jandric and Allie Sanford each added individual victories on the day.
GOING STREAKING
Janatova and Bortles are each on a four-match win streak, as Bortles carries a 4-0 record in dual match action. Kriscunas has won three consecutive, and the pair of sophomore Sabina Machalova and Jandric also boasts three straight wins.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS
UCF arrives in Oxford after taking on down fellow SEC opponent Alabama 6-1, Friday. The squad also has a ranked win, taking down No. 23 Tulsa in late January. Redshirt sophomore Valeriya Zeleva carries the only individual ranking for the squad, coming in at No. 34 after an impressive start to her spring campaign, where she carries a perfect 7-0 record at the first singles position. She teams up with classmate Ksenia Kuznetsova in doubles, boasting a No. 16 rating. The duo is also unblemished at 6-0.
Freshman Marie Mattel is also on a seven-match win streak, carrying two wins at third singles and a 5-0 record at No. 4.
UP NEXT
Ole Miss begins conference play, traveling to Gainesville to face No. 24 Florida Friday, March 1. The Gators were selected to finish two spots ahead of the Rebels, coming in at third in the SEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
