Men’s Tennis Welcomes Duo of Top 25 Teams for Weekend Contests

The Rebels host No. 22 Georgia, No. 19 Tennessee, and Jackson State
OXFORD, Miss. -- Riding a two-match win streak in conference play, Ole Miss Men's Tennis looks to continue with the momentum, welcoming a pair of Top 25 opponents to Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center for ar weekend full of matches.
The Rebels will first host No. 22 Georgia Friday, slated for a 6 p.m. first serve. Sunday will feature a doubleheader matchup, with Ole Miss first facing off against No. 19 Tennessee at 1:00 p.m. before concluding the weekend against Jackson State at 4:30.
If the matches are relocated due to inclement weather, they will be played at the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center, located along Manning Way.

THE REBEL RUNDOWN
The Rebels turned in their first and second wins of SEC play this past weekend, including upsetting then-No. 18 Alabama for the second time this season and their third ranked win of the year.
Freshman Karlo Kranic and junior Tim Sandkaulen both tallied three wins over the weekend. Kranic provided the set-up in Thursday's win over Auburn, and then secured the first of four straight points for the Rebs Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
Sandkaulen's win on Saturday was his third over a ranked opponent this season and second in SEC play as he downed the Tides's No. 32 Mazen Osama for the second time this season.
Thursday's win was clinched by freshman Jan Soren Hain, who collected his second victory in league play after battling back from a first set loss. The clinch was the first of Hain's career.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK… AGAIN
For his performance, Karlo Kranic was dubbed SEC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. He is the third Rebel to do so, joining current assistant coach Devin Britton and his classmate Marcel Thiemann, who both won the award twice each in 2009.
VETERAN DUO DELIGHTS TO BEAT 'BAMA
Seniors Filip Kraljevic and Fabian Fallert provided the excitement Saturday. After the Rebels were even at 2-2, Fallert rallied back to take eight consecutive games, sweeping his second set and winning the third 6-3. Kraljevic also battled in three, picking up his first win in league play and clinching his first conference match of the season.

Ole Miss jumped 10 spots in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's latest rankings, citing the Rebels at No. 33. Currently, junior Tim Sandkaulen possesses a No. 70 ranking in singles play, after reaching as high at No. 15 this past fall.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs arrive in Oxford on a 7-6 clip, but are 3-2 in conference play, all three wins coming against Top 25 opponents. Two of Georgia's losses have come to the hands of Top 10 foes in Ohio State and Texas. Senior Jan Zielinski leads the way for the Bulldogs, supporting both at
Top 15 ITA ranking in singles and a 23-10 overall record.

Sophomore Adam Walton carries an impressive resume with a 16-4 overall clip, 8-2 in spring dual matches, and 3-1 in the SEC.
