Rebels Face No. 2 Georgia, Tennessee in Search for First Road Victory

3/21/2019 | Women's Tennis

OXFORD, Miss.   –  Ole Miss Women's Tennis looks to extend a three-match win streak this weekend as the Rebels seek their first road victory. The squad will first face No. 2 Georgia Friday before rounding out the weekend in Knoxville against Tennessee Sunday.

Both the Bulldogs and Volunteers will be looking for revenge, as Ole Miss dispatched both squads during the SEC Tournament a year ago.

Live scoring and video will be provided via the links provided, as well as in-match updates from the @OleMissWTennis Twitter account.

THE REBELS RUNDOWN
Ole Miss will test a three-match win streak this weekend. The Rebels are coming off a perfect weekend where they downed both Alabama and Auburn by 4-2 decisions.

Senior Tea Jandric continues to roll, posting her sixth-straight win Sunday in the Auburn victory. The Zagreb, Croatia, native won nine consecutive games during the matchup, and boasts a 6-1 dual match record this season, 3-0 in SEC play.

Junior Tereza Janatova also carries an impressive streak, entering the weekend with four successive victories and an unblemished 4-0 ledger in conference play.

Junior Anna Vrbenska turned in back-to-back victories last weekend, both by relatively easy decisions. She only surrendered one game across 13 Friday, her first win of the spring season. Vrbenska has only lost two league matches across her career with the Rebels.

The Rebels are still seeking their first road win of the season, having dropped contests to Florida and then-No. 10 South Carolina to begin conference play.

The Bulldogs carry the highest ranking the Rebs have faced this season, coming in at No. 2. The 2019 National Indoor Champions, Georgia is a perfect 13-0 on the season. Freshman Meg Kowalski carries a perfect record in her career, winning 14 consecutive matches. Sophomore
