TEAM NOTES

• Ole Miss owns 90 First or Second-Team All-Americans indoors (61 men, 29 women), as well as eight NCAA titles (11 total NCAA Champions; nine men, two women)

• Under head coach Connie Price-Smith, the Rebels have claimed 27 of those indoor All-American honors (18 men, nine women) and two NCAA titles (Raven Saunders, shot put, 2017; men's DMR, 2017).

• In its history indoors, Ole Miss has finished in the top-25 of the team standings 15 total times (11 times on the men's side, four times on the women's side). Under Price-Smith, the Rebels have recorded their highest women's team finish ever indoors (12th, 2017) and the fourth-best indoors for the men (16th, 2017).

• Ole Miss head coach Connie Price-Smith is in her fourth season. Price-Smith, who was the head women's coach for Team USA at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, is in her 18th season overall as a head coach.

• In four seasons at Ole Miss, Price-Smith has already mentored seven NCAA champions, 54 First or Second-Team All-Americans, 29 SEC Champions and several of the highest SEC and national team finishes ever at Ole Miss -- including the highest SEC Outdoor finish ever for the women in fifth place in 2018.

• Price-Smith's coaching staff all returns as well, with associate head coach Andre Scott (jumps, women's multis), assistant coach Anthony Acklin (sprints, hurdles), assistant coach Brian Porter (pole vault, javelin, men's multis), assistant coach John Smith (throws) and director of operations Sasha Leeth all returning for their fourth seasons at Ole Miss, with associate head coach Ryan Vanhoy (distance) entering his sixth year as a Rebel.

WOMEN'S NOTES

• Sophomore Shey Taiwo will represent the Rebel women at the NCAA Indoor Championships, coming in with the 16th and final qualifying spot in the women's weight throw.

• Taiwo's season and career-best of 21.51m (70-07.00) ranks third in school history. Taiwo is looking to make it three years in a row that a Rebel has scored in the women's weight. Janeah Stewart, 2019 USA Champion in the weight throw, owns the highest NCAA finish in the event (3rd, 2018).

• Taiwo is coming off a freshman season that saw her qualify for the USATF Junior Championships in the hammer (5th), discus (13th) and shot put (DNS).

• Ole Miss received two All-SEC awards on the women's side from the SEC Indoor Championships, a Second-Team All-SEC honor for sophomore distance runner Clio Ozanne-Jaques and a place on the SEC All-Freshman team for shot putter Tedreauna Britt.

MEN'S NOTES

• The Rebel men rank No. 19 in the final USTFCCCA Rating Index heading into the national meet. Ole Miss shot up 74 spots to No. 18 in Week 4 and have remained in the top-25 in each of the last four releases.

• Sophomore Waleed Suliman won two SEC titles for the Rebel men, making Ole Miss the first school in SEC history to win five consecutive mile titles while also running the 800-meter leg on the winning DMR team -- the fifth SEC DMR title for Ole Miss in the last six years.

• Suliman enters this weekend as the NCAA's second-best miler at his school record time of 3:56.78. Suliman only ranks behind Wisconsin junior Oliver Hoare (3:54.83), who is the reigning NCAA Outdoor champion in the 1500.

• Senior  Derek Gutierrez also qualified in the men's mile, entering with the 12th-best seed time at the NCAA's 16th-best time of 3:58.55 (third-best in school history). Gutierrez unofficially broke the 4-minute barrier last May 31, running an unattached 3:59.48 at the St. Louis Festival of Miles.

• Both Suliman and Gutierrez both ran on the Ole Miss DMR team alongside John Rivera Jr. and James Burnett that clocked 9:26.74 at the JDL DMR Invitational on Feb. 15 (converted from (9:34.43). That time enters as the third-best in the field and in the NCAA.

• Freshman Mario Garcia Romo, who ran on the SEC title DMR team, was named the SEC Men's Freshman Runner of the Year. Garcia Romo, a First-Team All-SEC and NCAA All-South Region runner in cross country this season, ran the leadoff 1200-meter leg of the DMR and was also the top freshman finisher in the 3K in fifth place. -- which also earned him a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team.

• Other Rebels earning SEC honors were James Burnett (First-Team, DMR), Derek Gutierrez (First-Team, DMR), Waleed Suliman (First-Team, DMR, Mile), Allen Gordon (Second-Team, Long Jump).
