RALLY POINTS
  • Ole Miss picked up its second-straight tournament title over the weekend and improved its win streak to six after sweeping the Central Arkansas Classic.
  • Senior Nayo Warnell reached a program milestone during the tournament opener versus Little Rock. With her three blocks, she reached 300 in her career, a mark only eclipsed three previous times in Rebel rally scoring history.
  • Warnell went on to claim Tournament MVP honors an earn SEC Offensive Player of the Week plaudits, hitting for an incredible .619 efficiency committing just one attack error in 42 attempts. She finished the weekend with 27 kills, posting 13 against Oral Roberts, one shy of her career-high. Warnell hit above .500 for all three contests, a career first in her 105 matches. Her 19 total blocks on the weekend replace teammate Aubrey Sultemeier (17) as the second most for a three-match time span.
  • Junior Lauren Bars and senior Emily Stroup were also awarded All-Tournament honors. Bars dished out 126 assists across 12 sets, adding 13 blocks and 30 digs. Stroup registered 47 kills, averaging nearly four per set, and also recorded 30 digs.
  • Stroup and freshman Anna Bair tallied 21 and 22 kills, respectively, in the Rebels' thriller over UCA, marking the first time in two seasons two hitters have posted at least 20 kills in the same match.
  • Anna Bair was named SEC Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week for her efforts in Conway. Bair becomes the first-ever Rebel to earn a weekly award in back-to-back weeks.
