OXFORD, Miss. --  Coming off victories against North Alabama and Alcorn State, the Ole Miss Women's Tennis team (6-2) looks to continue with their winning ways, hosting Samford Saturday, February 15. 
 
The match will be held at the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center, located along Manning Way, and slated for a 3 p.m. first serve. The Rebels will host the Bulldogs with free t-shirts to the first 25 couples, so be sure to bring your 'doubles partner'.

REBEL RECAP
Ole Miss downed the Lions 7-0 last Saturday in Oxford. Freshmen Kelsey Mize  and Grace Anne Jonesdoubles' debut was nothing short of exciting as they coasted to a 6-1 victory. The clinching point once again came from the senior duo Anna Vrbenska and Tereza Janatova, who rallied to win the final three games after being knotted up at 3-3. In Singles play, Ole Miss handled business as five Rebels jumped out to early three game advantages. In her debut, freshman Grace Anne Jonesregistered her first collegiate dual match win with a 6-3, 6-4 victory on Court 5.
 
The Rebels played clinched in their second contest on the day, defeating the Alcorn State Braves 4-0. Both doubles groups opened in dominating fashion, blanking the Braves on both courts. The Rebels headed into singles play up 2-0 thanks to a default victory on Court 6. The day was wrapped up by Jones, who registered her second collegiate dual match win in style, 6-0, 6-0. 
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Samford enters the weekend 4-2, defeating Nichols State 6-1 to in their ITA Kickoff Weekend opener, but falling 3-4 to Tulane. The Bulldogs boast no ranked players but return five upperclassmen from a squad that went 13-11 a year ago. Senior Arianna Beltrame carries a perfect record into singles, having won her last six straight contests.

The Rebels will head to the sunshine state to face off against No. 16 UCF in Orlando on Friday, February 21.
