OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss Women's Tennis looks to continue with its impressive play this spring, wrapping up a span of nine matches out of their last 11 at home this weekend. The No. 26 Rebels welcome a pair of Top 25 foes to Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center, first hosting a perennial power as of late in No. 7 Georgia and concluding with No. 33 Tennessee Sunday.
 
The Rebels are 9-3 on the season and 1-1 in SEC play, splitting their opening weekend with a 4-3 loss to Arkansas before bouncing back to down Kentucky 4-1.
 
Live scoring and streaming will be provided for both matches via the links provided. Should weather become a factor, the matches will be moved to the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center, located along Manning Way, and live streaming will no longer be available. 
 
RANKED REBS
The loss to Arkansas just sent the Rebels down two spots in the weekly Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Rankings, landing at No. 26 this week. Individually, junior Sabina Machalova continues to climb, up to No. 50 in singles. Joining her for her first-ever collegiate ranking is freshman Kelsey Mize at No. 124. 
 
Two Rebel duos also boast rankings, with Machalova and senior Alexa Bortles, a 2018 All-American in doubles, come in at No. 53 and the veteran duo of Anna Vrbenska and Tereza Janatova reappear at No. 72 after starting the season ranked. 
 
THIS GIRL IS ON FIREEEEEE…
Bortles has won five straight contests, including a pair of ranked upsets during her spring campaign. The Alpharetta, Ga., product enters the weekend with a 6-2 dual match record, splitting time between 2ndand 3rdsingles. 
 
PROMOTIONS
Fans can enter to win a 55" television on Friday. Sunday is Medical Professional Day, where local members of multiple medical professions will be recognized. 
 
SCOUTING GEORGIA
The Bulldogs enters the weekend with a 6-2 clip, most recently taking down Tennessee, then ranked No. 23, in a 4-0 sweep. Georgia lost in the SEC Championship last spring, and serves as the reigning National Runner-Ups after falling to Stanford in the NCAA Championship. The Bulldogs also claimed the ITA National Indoor title in 2019, and carry seven players on their roster with individual rankings.

SCOUTING TENNESSEE
The Volunteers come into the weekend with a 9-2 ledger and a No. 33 ranking, down 10 spots from a week ago. Tennessee will face Mississippi State Friday in Starkville before trekking to Oxford. The Vols return a veteran group to their roster, with five total players appearing in the ITA individual rankings.
