Rebels Boast SEC’s No. 1 Ranked Recruiting Class
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's basketball fans can now reserve their spots for the 2020-21 season by purchasing their season tickets, which are on sale as of Wednesday morning.
Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin returns for her third season at the helm at Ole Miss, and with her comes a reloaded Rebel unit that will feature the SEC's top-ranked recruiting class. Ole Miss welcomes four freshmen that all earned grades of at least 90 from ESPN, helping push the Rebel class ranking to No. 13 nationally.
Highlighting that class are five-star signees Madison Scott (No. 13 overall) and Jacorriah Bracey (No. 48 overall). Scott was named a McDonald's All-American, the first in program history, while Bracey won Gatorade Player of the Year accolades for the state of Mississippi. Fellow freshmen Snudda Collins and Caitlin McGee will also suit up for the Rebels after stellar high school careers. McGee enrolled at Ole Miss one semester early and was part of team activities as a redshirt this past spring.
Ole Miss also added two new transfers to the roster this spring, signing ESPN's No. 1 rated transfer in Maryland addition Shakira Austin, as well as junior college sharpshooter Tiya Douglas of Trinity Valley Community College.
Junior Mimi Reid has finished top-10 in the SEC in assists in each of the last two seasons, and she leads a returning group of fellow familiar faces in 2020-21 alongside Jordan Berry, Sarah Dumitrescu, Iyanla Kitchens, Valerie Nesbitt, Tootie Rankin and Taylor Smith. Additionally, Rebel fans will be able to watch transfers Donnetta Johnson and Andeija Puckett for the first time after sitting out last season.
A full schedule will be announced at a later date. Fans can purchase season tickets online HERE.
