BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss track & field will send a program record 12 entries to the national meet in the hopes of bringing some hardware back to Oxford at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, held this weekend at the Birmingham CrossPlex on March 11-12.

To qualify for the national meet, student-athletes needed to finish within the top-16 of their individual events or top-12 as a relay by the end of the regular season. Those 16 in each event will be competing not only for team or individual national championships, but also to grasp one of the coveted top-eight scoring spots for First-Team All-American status. Places nine-through-16 receive Second-Team distinction.

Ole Miss enters ranked within the national top-15 in both men's and women's competition, with the Rebel women once again tying their indoor program record at No. 7, and the Rebel men coming in at No. 12 in the pre-championship national rating index.

Representing Ole Miss in Birmingham this weekend will be Tiarnan Crorken in the 800-meter, Jalani Davis in the shot put and weight throw, Mario Garcia Romo in the mile, Jasmine Mitchell in the weight throw, Lyndsey Reed in the pole vault, John Rivera Jr. in the 800-meter, Shey Taiwo in the weight throw, Sintayehu Vissa in the mile and James Young in the mile – as well as both the men's and women's distance medley relays.

ESPN3 will carry the action both days, with coverage beginning at 10 a.m. on Day One and 10:30 a.m. on Day Two. ESPNU will air a combined tape delay re-airing on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. CT.
