Supreme in the 'Sip

Ole Miss improved to 9-8 after winning at home in its sole match last weekend, 5-2, over in-state rival No. 61 Mississippi State last Sunday (April 3). The Rebels carry an impressive 18-2 record versus the Bulldogs under Head Coach Mark Beyers and lead the all-time series 56-7.

ITA Rankings

The Rebels improved six positions in the ITA Team Rankings this week to No. 45 in the country.

Individually, Machalova improved by 20 positions to No. 49 ranked in the country. She entered the ITA top-50 for the first time during the dual season in 2022.

Measuring Up Mizzou

The Tigers head to Oxford on a seven-match losing streak, all versus ranked opponents in SEC conference play. Mizzou has earned one ranked win this season, defeating No. 43 Kentucky on the road, 4-3, on March 11.

Points on the Pigs

Arkansas has lost two in a row after falling to both Tennessee and Georgia at home last weekend. The Razorbacks opened the SEC season with four straight victories, defeating Mizzou, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and South Carolina. Arkansas has already surpassed its 2021 season win total of 11 (4-9 in SEC play).

The Razorback's top doubles duo of Morgan Cross and Tatum Rice rank No. 37 in the nation. The pairing improved 16 spots this week and have compuled a 17-7 record in 2022.

Machalova Milestones

Machalova has served as a mainstay in the Ole Miss lineup over the last five seasons. The Zlin, Czechia native has played both at the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles for the Rebels in 2022. In her career, Machalova has earned 158 total victories (83 singles, 75 doubles) and has ranked as-high-as No. 16 in singles and No. 17 in doubles in the ITA Rankings. She was voted to the All-SEC First Team in 2021 and All-SEC Second Team in 2018. Machalova won the ITA Southern Doubles Championship in 2017. She competed in both the NCAA Singles Champions and NCAA Team Championships including reaching the Sweet 16 in 2018.
