Men’s Golf Concludes Regular Season at Mason Rudolph Championship

Ole Miss to Participate in 15-Team Field Matchup with Seven Top-50 Teams
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In its final regular season tournament, No. 20 Ole Miss men's golf will look to finish out the regular season with a bang at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Nashville, Tennessee hosted by No. 1 Vanderbilt. The three-day tournament is set to compete at the par-71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course from April 10-12 in a 15-team field matchup.
Ole Miss has had a busy spring as this will be the sixth tournament the Rebels have competed in 2023. The spring has brought success as two Rebels have won individual titles and Ole Miss claimed the tournament title at the All-American Intercollegiate. At last week's competition at the Mossy Oak Collegiate, Ole Miss recorded a season-best tournament total against par with a 29-under overall score.
Monday's first tee time is scheduled for 8 a.m. while the Rebels will begin their round as a team at 8:55 a.m. and will be paired with No. 36 Cincinnati and No. 39 Liberty.

THE COURSE
Since its opening in 1992, Vanderbilt Legends Club has made its mark in the world of golf by receiving national recognition and accolades. Designed by Tom Kite and Bob Cupp, the par-71 South Course, 71 measuring 7,100 yards, takes players through verdant fields winding in the shadow of historic Roper's Knob hillside. With a mix of wooded and open spaces, the South Course offers a unique and challenging golf experience.

WE SALUTE ROOT
Sarut Vongchaisit was awarded Co-SEC Men's Golfer of the Week after his standout performance at the Mossy Oak Collegiate where he took home the individual title. During the senior's time in West Point, he accomplished new career bests in low-18 score (64), low-54 score (203), and best individual finish. Vongchaisit's 64 (-8) round-score is tied for third in Ole Miss men's golf program history for the lowest single-round score and his total 203 (-13) score is tied for fifth in program history for the lowest three-round score.
Vongchaisit led the field in birdies, chipping in 20 through his three rounds. The Rebel set a new Mossy Oak Collegiate individual record, beating Vanderbilt's Gordon Sargent's record of 204 (-12) from 2022. His second-round score of 64 tied for the lowest round shot in the Mossy Oak Collegiate.
The Bangkok, Thailand native's run gave Ole Miss a 4th place finish with an 835 (-29) overall score – a season-best tournament total against par for the Rebels.
SPRINGING INTO ACTION
The spring season has brought success to Ole Miss as it has found its groove with four top-5 finishes out of its five tournaments its competed in. The Rebels began the spring out strong at the Cabo Collegiate (3/5-7), grabbing a 2nd place finish with an overall score of 846 (-6) among a stacked top-50 field to put themselves in the top-25 in rankings.
In the following week, Ole Miss traveled to Tallahassee and finished in 3rd place in the Seminole Intercollegiate (3/14-15). The Rebels rounded out their March at the All-American Intercollegiate (3/20-21), where they grabbed their first tournament title of the season at 855 (-9) overall. In last week's performance at the Mossy Oak Collegiate (4/3-4), Ole Miss recorded a season-best tournament total against par with a 29-under overall score and finished in 4th place.
NEXT ON THE TEE
Following play in Nashville, the Rebels begin to prepare for the postseason at the SEC Championships (Apr. 19-23) in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The event will be including three rounds of stroke play before a cut will be made to advance the top-eight teams to match play.
