Perfect Week: Ole Miss Men’s, Women’s Hoops Sweep Four Games

OXFORD, Miss. – It was a perfect week for Ole Miss men's and women's basketball, as the two squads combined to go a flawless 4-0, including three wins at the SJB Pavilion in the thick of Southeastern Conference play.

Men Improve to 17-3
Chris Beard and the men's team opened the week with a dominant 77-51 Wednesday night win over Arkansas, Ole Miss' largest margin of victory against the Razorbacks since a 117-66 game in December of 1973.
The Rebels did so in front of the largest student crowd in SJB Pavilion history as the spring semester began last week.
Ole Miss took that energy on the road and brought home a key win at Texas A&M. Beard's club trailed by seven with less than four minutes to go but stormed back for the first win in College Station in program history.

Yolett McPhee-McCuin and the women's squad opened their week with a Thursday night win over Florida, 81-70, before preparing for one of the biggest games on the home schedule Sunday against Tennessee.
After the signature win over one the No. 2 team in the SEC standings at the time, Ole Miss now has two more marquee matchups ahead this week. The Rebels will hit the road to face Vanderbilt on Thursday, the Commodores sitting just behind the Rebels in a tie for fifth in the standings. Then, Ole Miss heads over to Columbia, South Carolina, to take on the No. 1 and undefeated Gamecocks.
