THE COURSE
The SEC men's golf Championship has been played at Sea Island since 2001. Rated No. 1 in the U.S. among the "World's 50 Best Golf Hotels" by Golf Digest Index, Sea Island Golf Club offers three exceptional 18-hole championship courses. The Seaside Course, home to the PGA TOUR's McGladrey Classic, is a links course graced by majestic ocean vistas in the tradition of St. Andrews.

The Seaside Course was totally reconfigured by Tom Fazio and reopened in October 1999. The new Seaside Course is the brilliant blending of Colt & Allison's original nine-hole Seaside and Joe Lee's Marshside nine into one seamless, contemporary 18-hole golf course. Tidal creeks, dunes, saltmarshes and St. Simons Sound frame the course which plays fast, firm and fun in the tradition of legendary Scottish links.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH MALLOY
"This is the best time of year as a coach and player. We are extremely excited for postseason play as this is what you have prepared for all year long. As long as we continue to do what we have done the entire year, we should be in a good position come the end of the week."

IT JUST MEANS MORE GOLF
The 2024 SEC men's golf Championship will be one of the most competitive atmospheres the Rebels have competed in thus far. Entering the first round of stroke play, Ole Miss will face off against 11 other teams that all rank inside the top 50 based on the most recent Clippd Golf rankings. Of those 11 conference foes, nine are inside the top 25 with a whopping five schools ranked inside the top 10 in the nation. Ole Miss has held steady at the No. 5 spot in the Clippd Golf rankings for the past seven weeks and will look to the SEC Championship to take home the crown. If the Rebels secure the victory of winning the SEC Championship, it will be only the second time in program history that they have accomplished the feat, the first since 1984.

THAT'S A WRAP ON THE REGULAR SEASON
Ole Miss men's golf has had one of the most successful seasons to date as it has rounded out the regular season. During the 2023-24 slate, the Rebels have finished inside the top-5 in all but one tournament, five of those tournaments with top-3 finishes. Ole Miss grabbed the tournament title at the Seminole Intercollegiate and has come in 2nd in four other tournaments. Overall, the Rebels are posting a 275.50 team average with an 86-17-1 record. Ole Miss has shot an impressive 112-under-par score for the entirety of the 2023-24 season.

BE LIKE MIKE
Michael La Sasso has had a stellar sophomore year as he has been Ole Miss' best individual in six out of eight tournaments this regular season. La Sasso holds a 69.25 stroke average through 24 rounds, which leads Ole Miss and the Southeastern Conference. The Raleigh, North Carolina, native has successfully finished inside the top 20 in all events this regular season for Ole Miss, four of those being inside the top-3. During his Ole Miss debut at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, La Sasso began the season with a bang and secured a career-low 54-hole score of 200 (-10), including a career-low round of 63 to earn a tied-for 2nd finish. Because of his success during his time at Ole Miss, La Sasso has been named to the Ben Hogan Award and Fred Haskins Award Watch Lists.

NEXT ON THE TEE
Following the SEC Championship, the Rebels will wait to learn their postseason fate with the NCAA Selection Show on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. It is there that the team will learn what seed and NCAA Regional they will be traveling to May 13-15.
