Men’s Tennis Set for ITA All-Americans

TULSA, Okla.- The junior duo of Isac Strömberg and Noah Schlagenhauf coupled with the freshman Loan Lestir are heading out west this week to represent Ole Miss men's tennis in the ITA-All American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma from Sept. 21-29. 
 
For singles, the eight main draw quarter finalists and the two consolation finalists players who compete in the ITA-All American championships will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship set to run from November 19th-24th, at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. As for doubles, the four main draw semi finalist teams will also qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship in Waco. 
 
Per recent updated criteria, to earn ITA-All American honors the ITA operating committee has decided that along with advancing to the round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championships or finishing in the top 20 of the final ITA singles rankings in May, the ITA All-American Champion will also be recognized as an All-American.
 
As for doubles, ITA All-American doubles honors will be awarded if a duo secures the All-American doubles champion, advance to the quarterfinals at the NCAA Doubles Championships or finish in the top 10 of the Final ITA doubles rankings in May.

THE REBELS    
Noah Schlagenhauf (Jr.) - Nuertingen, Germany
-Went undefeated in singles in the opening tournament of the season, going 3-0
-Concluded the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 16-10 singles record and an 8-11 record in doubles
-Tallied the second highest conference victories in singles on the team with five 
-Won 12 singles matches in straight sets in 2023-24
 
 Isac Strömberg (Jr.) - Stockholm, Sweden
-Went 1-2 in both singles and doubles to open the season at the SEC Challenge
-Finished the 2023-24 season with a 14-17 singles record and a 9-14 record in doubles
-Primarily played in the No. 3 slot in singles and doubles
-Won 11 singles matches in straight sets
 
Loan Lestir (Fr.) - Lille, France
-Making his collegiate debut 
-Garners an impressive 12.42 UTR 
-Tallied a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 127
-Named a finalist for doubles in the national French championship and advanced to the semi-finals two years in a row
 
LIVE SCORING/VIDEO
Live scoring will be available all week in Tulsa. Live video will be also available for all doubles matches and the main courts for singles. 
 
FALL SEASON CONTINUES
After Oklahoma, the Rebels will head up north to the University of Michigan to compete at an ITF Future (Sept. 30-Oct. 6). Ole Miss will then hit the road to LSU for the ITA Regionals (Oct. 16-21) followed by the Rebels traveling back to Oklahoma to compete in another ITF Future in Norman (Oct. 21-27). Ole Miss will continue their fall run in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Fall Invite (Nov. 1-3) before traveling west to the ITA Masters in San Diego, California (Nov. 7-10). The Rebels will conclude their fall slate at the ITA Sectionals (Nov. 7-10) with the location to be announced at a later date.
