OLE MISS VS. SOUTH CAROLINA
Ole Miss and South Carolina will share the court for the 49th time in series history. With Dawn Staley at the helm of South Carolina's program, Ole Miss has taken down the Gamecocks once, its last win coming at in the 2010 SEC Tournament.

All-time, South Carolina leads the series 31-17 and holds an 11-8 advantage in Oxford. The Rebels last beat the Gamecocks at home on Jan. 20, 2008.

There have historically been noteworthy individual performances by Rebels against the Gamecocks. Ole Miss legend Armintie Price had eight steals against South Carolina in the 2004-05 season, which is tied for the fourth-most by a Rebel in a single game in program history. Price went 4-1 against the Gamecocks in her time in Oxford, recording a double-double in every game she played against them.

Ole Miss' best win over South Carolina came in 1995, when the Rebels steamrolled over the Gamecocks, 91-58. The 33-point victory is Ole Miss' most comfortable win over South Carolina, while its 91 points are the most scored by the Rebels in the series.

SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS
Dawn Staley leads the reigning NCAA champions in her 17th year at the helm. Staley has garnered a well-earned reputation for being one of the best collegiate coaches in any sport, having led the Gamecocks to three NCAA titles, two of which coming in the last three years. She's guided the Gamecocks to a 464-109 record in her tenure, including a 24-3 record this season.

Staley has courted one of the best rosters in women's basketball this year. The Gamecocks are nationally ranked inside the top 10 of seven statistical categories. South Carolina has the ability to strike at any moment with any player on the court, as the Gamecocks lead the nation in bench points per game with 42.6.

Joyce Edwards is the main reason South Carolina tops the country in points off the bench, as she paces the Gamecocks in scoring this season despite making only one start, averaging just over 13 points a game. She's played the fourth-most minutes of any Gamecock this season and brings in five rebounds a game. She scored 28 points against Florida, the most scored by a Gamecock in a single game this season.

MiLaysia Fulwiley is the second-leading scorer on South Carolina, yet she hasn't started a game all season. She averages 12.1 points per game while averaging only 18 minutes a game.

Te-Hina Paopao is the only Gamecock starter who averages double figure points. In two seasons in Columbia, she's been a Second Team All-American and an All-SEC Second Team member. She has the 12th-most career points among all active SEC players and the seventh-most career assists with 493.

South Carolina has shut teams down all season, holding teams to 34.7 percent from the floor per game, the fifth-best mark in the country. They've turned their opponents misses into shots of their own, scoring 80.8 points per game. As a result, South Carolina has the fifth-best scoring margin in the nation.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite a 10-point halftime deficit, Ole Miss women's basketball staged an impressive comeback to defeat Missouri, 68-66, on Sunday at the SJB Pavilion.

Ole Miss forced 23 Missouri turnovers while recording 14 steals, the most Missouri has allowed this season. It's Ole Miss' 17th game with 10-plus steals this season.

Starr Jacobs led the way for Ole Miss, recording a team-high 22 points. She went 9-for-13 from the field, while adding four steals to lead the team. She's now hit the 50-steals mark for the season. This is the second game in a row that a Rebel has scored north of 20 points, as KK Deans also notched 22 versus Tennessee.

AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS
When it comes to facing off against ranked opponents, Ole Miss owns 92 wins against such teams. The Rebels picked up two of those victories in the last four games, taking down No. 23 Vanderbilt and No. 8 Kentucky. Under Yolett McPhee-McCuin, the Rebels have knocked off 12 ranked opponents.

Ole Miss has toppled 31 teams ranked in the top-10, with 14 of those victories occurring while the Rebels are unranked. The most recent top-10 win was against 8th-ranked Kentucky on Feb. 10, 2025, marking the second time in the Coach Yo era that the Rebels have dropped a top-10 ranked team, with the prior upset coming in the 2023 NCAA Tournament against No. 5 Stanford.

Having already faced eight ranked opponents in the Associated Press poll during the 2024-25 season, Ole Miss' gauntlet of a schedule continues with two highly touted ranked teams on deck in its final three games of the regular season.

The last time a Rebel team has defeated two top-10 foes in the same season was during the 2006-07 season. Ole Miss took down No. 5 LSU, No. 6 Maryland and No. 9 Oklahoma all in a three-month span.

TEN IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
Ole Miss is on the hunt, as the Rebels are one SEC game away from earning 10 conference wins for the fourth consecutive season.

The 2021-22 Rebels won 10, the 2022-23 team won 11 games and the 2023-24 Ole Miss squad had 12 victories in SEC play. Reaching the 10-win milestone is the first time in program history that Ole Miss has won 10 SEC games three years in a row.

THREE TIMES AS NICE
The Rebels are on the verge of hitting the 20-win mark on the season once again, sitting just two games behind at 18 victories. If Ole Miss is able to achieve the feat, the Rebels will have hit the mark for the fourth straight season and for the 22nd time in program history.

COMEBACK KIDS
Trailing by 10 points at halftime against Missouri, the Rebels used a 38-point second half to claim their victory over the Tigers. This is the first time Ole Miss has completed a comeback after trailing by double-digits in the first half since Jan. 29, 2023, when it came back from a 19-point deficit against Arkansas.
