Men’s Tennis Welcomes Belmont to Oxford on Saturday

OXFORD, Miss - The Ole Miss men's tennis team (5-0, 0-0 SEC) will welcome the Belmont Bruins (2-4, 0-0 MVC) to the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center for a single match event on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11:00 a.m. CT.

THE REBELS
Dakotah Bobo (Jr.) - Lafayette, Louisiana
-Undefeated 3-0 in singles on the 2025 season
-Defeated Fernando Bulnes and Mario Monclus Martin (EKU) 7-6 (7-3) with partner Noah Schlagenhauf to notch first doubles win in the spring season
-Secured the first point for the Rebels on the singles courts against Memphis, 7-6 (7-3)
-Has won all singles matchups in straight sets
Matthieu Chambonniere (Fr.) - Paris, Île-de-France
-Named the Houndstooth Draw doubles champions at the SEC Challenge with doubles partner Benjamin Martin
-Tallied a 7-3 overall singles record and a 7-2 doubles record to cap off his first fall as a Rebel
-Defeated Eastern Kentucky's Mario Monclus Martin, 6-1, 6-3, to open his 2025 spring campaign

-Boasts a 4-0 singles record in the spring season
-Earned a straight set, 6-3, 6-1, win over Christian Cantos Siemers in his collegiate dual match debut against Eastern Kentucky
-Was one of five Rebels to represent Ole Miss at the ITA Southern Regional in the fall
Kai Milburn (Fr.) - Queenstown, New Zealand
-Has earned three tournament ITF titles in singles, earning victories in the J60 Christchurch, J60 Wellington and J100 Auckland
-Represented New Zealand during last year's Davis Cup
-Went 2-0 in singles in his collegiate debut with the Rebels
-Defeated Asaf Friedler and Vincent Vohl 6-4 with partner Marcel Kamrowski to earn his first doubles win as a Rebel
Noah Schlagenhauf (Jr.) - Nuertingen, Germany
-Ranked No. 101 in latest ITA singles rankings
-Advanced to the qualifying round of the ITA-All Americans in the fall

Isac Strömberg (Jr.) - Stockholm, Sweden
-Defeated Adrian Contreras (EKU), 6-3, 6-1, to open the 2025 spring season
-Defeated Alabama's No. 62 Andrii Zimnokh, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the fall season to earn his first ranked win of the 2024-25 season
-Etched two doubles victories with partner Gordon Whitwell in the fall slate
-Holds a 3-0 singles record in the spring campaign
Gordon Whitwell (Jr.) - Oxford, Mississippi
-Defeated Ryan Kitchin and Adrian Contreras (EKU) 6-2 with partner Isac Stromberg to open junior year spring season
-Secured his first singles win of the spring season over Eastern Kentucky's Darko Kolevski 6-1, 6-4
-Has secured three wins on the doubles courts with partner Isac Stromberg
-Advanced to the doubles round of 16 at the ITA Southern Regional in the fall season
A LOOK AT THE NUMBERS
The Rebels are 5-0 to begin the season for the first time since the 2021-22 season where Ole Miss went 7-0 to begin their spring campaign. Ole Miss is the only SEC team to still be undefeated during the spring season. Six out of the nine Rebels are undefeated on the singles courts, amounting to a total 15-0 record between the six Ole Miss athletes.
Junior sensation, Noah Schlagenhauf, has notched ranked wins over Georgia Southern's No. 84 Dimitris Paliouras and Tulane's No. 101 Luka Petrovic. The new Ole Miss duo of Kamrowski and Milburn combined for a 4-0 record on the singles court in their debut weekend as well. On the doubles courts, the french duo of Chambonniere and Martin have gone to work early, boasting a 2-1 record in the 2025 season.
TEAM PROFILE: BELMONT
Jeff Cero is in his second season at the helm of the Belmont Bruins men's tennis program. Previous to Belmont, Cero spent four seasons (2019-23) as head men's tennis coach at George Fox University in Newburg, Oregon. Belmont has a 2-4 overall record and are coming off of a 4-2 road win over Louisville. The Bruins are led by freshman Charlie Robin who boasts an 11-6 overall singles record. Robin teams up with Esunge Ndumbe on the doubles court to make the Bruins top pair.
