WEST POINT, Miss. – The No. 3 Ole Miss men’s golf team secured their second sweep and third victory of the season Tuesday afternoon at the 2025 Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. The Rebels finished with a team score of (825, -39), which set a new tournament low-54 record at OWCC. The previous record was 20-under par by Georgia in 2021.

The 33-stroke win marked the largest margin of victory in program history. Tom Fischer and Michael La Sasso took home individual titles, both shooting (203, -13). It is the first collegiate win for Fischer and second for La Sasso. The duo tied the individual low-54 in tournament history which was previously set by Marcus Byrd of Middle Tennessee State in 2019.

La Sasso had the low round of the day for Ole Miss with a three-under 69. He carded rounds of 67-67-69 and tallied his second double-digit under-par finish of the season. La Sasso now has 16 rounds in the 60s on the year, placing him tied for second in program history for the most rounds in the 60s in a single season.

The junior from Raleigh, North Carolina won back in the fall at the Hamptons Intercollegiate (Oct. 7-8) for his first career individual title. He’s the first Rebel since Jackson Suber in 2022 to record multiple individual wins in the same season.

Tom Fischer set a new career-low score 54-hole score of (203, -13), carding rounds of 65-67-71. He set the 36-hole player score record shooting (132) over the first two rounds. His 54-hole score tied the individual low-54 in tournament history.

Kye Meeks was solid all week for Ole Miss, finishing in third with a score of (208, -8). It marks Meek’s second top five finish of the season, both coming in the state of Mississippi.

Cameron Tankersley and Cohen Trolio each finished tied for 10th at two-under par. It marked Tankersley’s sixth top 10 finish of the season which leads the team. It marked Trolio’s fifth which is second behind Tankersley.

Collins Trolio put together a steady three round performance shooting even-par for the week. He finished tied for 15th and tied his career-low 18-hole score of 67 on Monday in round one.
