No. 5 Men’s Golf Tied for Fifth After Day One in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 5 Ole Miss men's golf team posted (278, -2) on opening day of the 2025-26 season and sit tied for fifth at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate. The Rebels are led by freshman Daniel Tolf who is T8 after 18 holes of play.
Tolf had the low round of the day for Ole Miss in his collegiate debut. The Gothenburg, Sweden native carded a three-under 67 and tallied five birdies on the day.
Collins Trolio had a solid day one, firing a round of one-under 69. After an opening bogey, Trolio carded birdies on two of the next three holes. He would make 14 consecutive pars to close out his round.
Cohen Trolio and Cameron Tankersley both shot one-over 71 to open 2025. Tom Fischer finished his day at two-over and Finn Meister who is competing as an individual posted four-over in what was his collegiate debut as well.
Ole Miss will be first off in the morning with Tolf scheduled to begin his second round at 6:50 a.m. CT. The remaining Rebels will follow in 11-minute increments.
