Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Ole Miss Rebels to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Parker Ingram of Ridgeland, MS.
Right after Parker's second birthday, doctors found a tumor on his spinal cord. He came to the team at Children's of Mississippi Cancer Clinic for treatment. Under their watchful care, Parker had 10 months of chemotherapy and one month of proton radiation therapy.
Now 8 years old, Parker has been in remission from cancer since 2020. He still sees Children's of Mississippi pediatric specialists in oncology, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics and physical therapy. He will continue with monitoring from his care team for the foreseeable future.
Parker loves sports and scored two runs last season in coach-pitch baseball. Plus, he can remember players, stats and schedules for most football and basketball games. He especially loves going to Ole Miss games!
