Sherranda Reddick is in her second season as the graduate manager for the Ole Miss women's basketball team in 2020-21.
Reddick was a four-year starter for Rebel head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin at Jacksonville, where she reigns as the all-time leading scorer after being a crucial part of the program turnaround McPhee-McCuin engineered for the Dolphins.
“When I started in this profession, I knew I always wanted to provide people opportunities that were given to me,” McPhee-McCuin said. “Coaching is not a job for me, it is my ministry. The goal is to win championships here, and everyone that is a part of this program knows that. So when my graduate assistant position opened up this year, there was no doubt in my mind that Sherranda Reddick was the perfect fit. Sherranda played for me for four years at Jacksonville and was an integral piece of the program we built there. She won a championship with me and will be a huge asset with our program here at Ole Miss. Sherranda will be involved in every aspect of our program, and the plan is to prepare her for opportunities after she’s done obtaining her master’s degree.”
A native of Jacksonville and a graduate of Ribault High School, Reddick notched a JU record of 1,727 points throughout her career (13.9 PPG), starting in 113 of 124 career games played for the Dolphins. Reddick was the main catalyst for Jacksonville during McPhee-McCuin’s first four years from 2014-17, seeing the program go from sub-.500 records to the first NCAA Tournament berth in school history in 2016 and a subsequent WNIT trip in 2017. During those final two seasons of postseason play, Reddick did not miss a single game, starting all 55 contests and averaging 17.2 PPG in that span.
Reddick was a two-time first-team Atlantic Sun selection, and was also a member of the ASUN All-Freshman Team in 2014. Reddick graduated with a bachelor’s in sociology from Jacksonville University in 2017.
