WEATHER: 57 degrees and rising, mostly cloud, NW wind 10-15 mph.
This was the first-ever meeting between Ole Miss and Abilene Christian.
Sophomore LHP Casey Fuller made his first career appearance and start this afternoon. He pitched 5.0 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits and three walks to earn his first career win.
Senior C Bailey Patridge recorded his first career hit with a single to right in the first inning.
Sophomore OF Kris Cox recorded a career-high three hits, His previous high was two hits set four times last season.
Junior C Carl Lafferty tied his career-high with three hits, set last year at home versus Arkansas State (4/20/99).
Senior 1B Jude Voltz went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple, and tied his career-high of four RBIs, set last year at Vanderbilt (4/4/99).
Redshirt freshman LHP Joel Lyons made his first career appearance, recording the final two out s in the ninth inning. He picked off David Tuley at first base to record the second out of the inning.
