Tonight's win by Baylor gave the Bears a two-game sweep of the series and marked the first time that Ole Miss lost a home series since South Carolina swept three games from the Rebels April 3-5, 1998 -- a span of 10 home series.. It also marked the first Ole Miss has lost a home series to a non-conference opponent since Minnesota won two-of-three from the Rebels to open the 1992 season.
Ole Miss held Baylor to six hits tonight, marking the 11th time this season in 15 games that Rebel pitchers have held their opponents to 10 or fewer hits in a game.
The 6 2/3 innings by Joseph Liberto tonight is a career-long for Liberto, and was the longest outing by a Rebel reliever this season.
Ole Miss dropped back-to-back home games for the first since 1998 when South Carolina swept the Rebels and then lost to Southern Miss in the first game of a two-game series in Oxford.
