RALIEGH, N.C. - The Coastal Plain League announced Monday that Fayetteville's Jason Morales and Cody Overbeck of Thomasville were named the Rawlings Co-Hitters of the Week, while Peninsula's Brett Walker and Luke Prihoda of Fayetteville were honored as Rawlings Co-Pitchers of the Week for week seven of action (July 19 - July 23).

Overbeck had a big week, starting all four games for the HiToms. The freshman from Mississippi featured a .467 average with seven hits, including a double and three home runs to go with five runs scored and eight RBIs. Overbeck also sported a league-high 17 total bases and a league-best 1.133 slugging percentage, as well as having a .500 on-base percentage on the week.

Morales, coming off a performance in the All-Star Home Run Derby that saw him crowned champion, started all four games for the SwampDogs on the week, finishing with a .500 average. The sophomore from UNC-Pembroke had seven hits, including two doubles and a triple, while scoring three runs and tallying one RBI. Morales also had 11 total bases to go with a .786 slugging percentage and a .533 on-base percentage, while going 1-for-1 in stolen bases.

On the mound, Walker made one appearance for the Pilots, but made it count in the shape of a complete-game shutout through nine innings. The 6-4, 200-pound righthander from Virginia Commonwealth surrendered only one hit, while walking none and striking out four. For such a performance, the sophomore Walker picked up a 1-0 record and a perfect 0.00 ERA on the week.

Meanwhile, Prihoda earned his second selection as a Pitcher of the Week as he was also selected in week one of the season. The junior from Sam Houston State made three appearances in relief for the SwampDogs and came away with three saves. In 2.2 innings pitched, the 6-5, 235-pound righthander gave up only a single hit, while walking none and striking out six.
