OleMissSports.com: Where are you from?
SG: I am from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. People call it the basketball capital because basketball is kind of what that that area is known for.

OleMissSports.com: What is the most appealing thing to you about Ole Miss?
SG: I just like how people say that when you come here, you are a Rebel forever and everyone has a great vision for Ole Miss and that is what is appealing to me.

OleMissSports.com: What is the most different thing from home?
SG: It's really hot and humid and I can't breath when I go outside! I was born in Jackson Mississippi, so I'm from here, then I moved to Tennessee and now I'm back. So, it's kind of good to be home, I guess.

OleMissSports.com: How is practice and training different from what you are used to from high school basketball?
SG: It is definitely harder and more demanding. It's extremely hard, but I know this is what I have to do to be in this level, so I'm willing to work.

OleMissSports.com: What has been the most unexpected thing that you have experienced since being at Ole Miss?
SG:
Everything being thrown at me. It's like 'Wow, I'm in college now.' I graduated literally a month ago, so that's the most unexpected thing I have experienced since I arrived on campus.

OleMissSports.com: What is the team atmosphere like?
SG: I love them. They are helpful, hilarious and they make me laugh. They always make my day better. When you're struggling with conditioning, practice and all of that, they are here to build me up and say a joke and make everything better. I really love my teammates.

OleMissSports.com: What is some advice you have for kids who strive to be in your shoes?
SG: My advice is if you want to play basketball in college, you need to work really hard at basketball and in the classroom and make sure you are doing the right thing when no one is looking. All of those three things really match up and they really help you succeed in other areas like talking to and connecting with people and being a good all around person.
