Ole Miss crowned Georgia State Invitational Champions
ATLANTA—Ole Miss volleyball earned its second consecutive tournament title, sweeping the Georgia State Invitational with wins over Sam Houston State (25-19, 25-6, 25-9) and hosts Georgia State (25-17, 25-13, 25-16).

Sophomore setter Lauren Bars joined her on the All-Tournament squad, totaling 51 helpers while adding seven blocks and 13 kills (.545).
The Rebels have now won 13 consecutive sets, dating back to its thrilling five-setter over Southern Miss last Sunday. This marks the fifth time since head coach Steven Roberts took the helm that Ole Miss has turned in three or more consecutive sweeps. The Rebels have now won eight matches in a row.
Ole Miss returns to action Tuesday, welcoming border rival Memphis for a special Hometown Heroes match on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in Gillom Athletics Performance Center.

The momentum remained with Ole Miss for the finale, where they allowed just nine points- the fourth fewest- in a 25-9 victory.
Senior Delaney Gallagher made her 2018 debut, recording a career-best 1.000 hitting percentage after adding a pair of slams late in the final frame. Bars fell one kill shy of her career-high, finishing the match with five on a .625 clip and while dishing out 19 assists.

The squads traded the first few points of Set 2, before back-to-back slams from Wernentin and Mulkey sandwiched between three GSU miscues put the Rebels on a 6-0 run and up 10-5.
