HONOLULU, Hawaii
– Ole Miss Women's Tennis concluded its pre-dual match season Saturday, tallying four wins on the final day of the Weinman Foundation Invitational. The tournament featured a "hidden dual" format with Washington and Hawaii facing off against the Rebels.

The ranked duo of veteran Tea Jandric and sophomore Sabina Machalova picked up the lone doubles win on the day, defeating Washington's Hance/Arakawa 7-5. The pair boasts a No. 31 rating in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's rankings.

Machalova also picked up a win in singles play, joined by juniors Tereza Janatova and Cameron Kriscunas. Janatova grinded out a victory after dropping her opening set 1-6, but rallied back to even things with a 7-5 decision and taking the victory via a 1-0 (10-6) tiebreaker.

Classmate  Anna Vrbenska was on the opposite end of a tiebreaker, succumbing to defeat against Washington's Katarina Kopcalic. Both Vrbenska and Kopcalic boast ITA rankings, coming in at No. 114 and 90, respectively.

"These were extremely valuable matches we had this weekend. There is no substitute for keeping score and having to deal with the ups and downs of playing a match. We'll get a great week of practice in this week, get ready for our home opener against Purdue on Saturday."
