MEET NOTES
• Both Rebel squads enter the conference meet within the national top-50, with the Rebel men just outside the top-25 at No. 27 and the women No. 48 in the latest USTFCCCA National Rating Index.
• Ole Miss currently owns a total of 24 NCAA top-50 marks or times, 12 each from both the Rebel men's and women's squads. Of those, seven currently sit within medal contention in the top-three of the SEC standings.
• Ole Miss has won 49 SEC Outdoor individual titles, 38 from the men and 11 from the women. Of those, 12 have come under sixth-year head coach Connie Price Smith (nine men, three women).
• Under Price-Smith, Ole Miss has set the highest SEC Outdoor finish in women's competition (fifth, 2018).
• Ranked SEC men's schools include: No. 1 LSU, No. 8 Florida, No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 11 Alabama, No. 13 Arkansas, No. 14 Tennessee, No. 16 Georgia and No. 18 Kentucky.
• Ranked SEC women's schools include: No. 1 LSU, No. 2 Arkansas, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Alabama, No. 10 Florida, No. 18 Auburn, No. 23 Kentucky and No. 25 South Carolina.
MEN'S NOTES
• Ole Miss is looking to become the first school to win five straight men's 1500-meter titles since Arkansas did so from 1996-2000. Reigning 2019 SEC champ Waleed Suliman enters with the NCAA's No. 5 time at 3:36.53, and he was the latest in a line of Rebel 1500-meter champions that includes Craig Engels (2016, '17) and Robert Domanic (2018).
• Suliman is entered in both the 800-meter and 1500-meter, events in which he currently owns NCAA top-10 times. Suliman was the first American to hit both 1:47 in the 800-meter (1:47.00) and 3:37 in the 1500-meter (3:36.53) this outdoor season, and was only recently joined by Oregon's Cole Hocker in that club. His 1500-meter time eclipsed the U.S. Olympic Trials standard, which Suliman is now eligible for after becoming a U.S. citizen in late 2019. Suliman spent his childhood across Sudan, Jordan and Virginia.
• The dynamic Rebel distance squad once again will look to wreak havoc at the conference meet following a dazzling showing at the SEC Indoor Championships. Ole Miss nearly became the first school since 1999 to pull off the elusive distance sweep, winning the mile (Suliman), 3K (Mario Garcia Romo), 5K (Cole Bullock) and distance medley relay (Suliman, Marcus Dropik, Everett Smulders, Garcia Romo), while narrowly taking silver in the men's 800-meter (John Rivera Jr.).
• In total, Ole Miss owns 21 total men's distance entries: six each in the 800-meter and 1500-meter, eight in the 5K, and one in the 10K (Robinson Snider).
•Ole Miss ranks in the top-three nationally in both the men's 800-meter (second) and 1500-meter (third), owning impressive average times of 1:47.65 in the 800 and 3:39.63 in the 1500.
• All-American jumper Allen Gordon is also looking to contribute heavily for the Rebels, currently entered in the high jump, long jump and triple jump this week. As it stands, Gordon is the only jumper in the NCAA to have jumped 7' 1.75" in the high jump, 25' 11.50" in the long jump and 50' 2" in the triple jump this year, and is alongside reigning NCAA Indoor champion JuVaughn Harrison of LSU as the only jumpers to have cleared those distances in the high jump and long jump this outdoor season.

WOMEN'S NOTES
• Ole Miss enters the weekend ranked within the USTFCCCA's #EventSquad Top-10 in four different events on the women's side: hammer (2nd), discus (5th), shot put (6th) and pole vault (6th).
• Ole Miss stands as one of two schools with three women's hammer throwers at or beyond 200 feet (North Dakota State, four), and one of two (alongside Cal) with multiple beyond 217 feet – Jasmine Mitchell (13th NCAA, 66.37m/217-09) and Shey Taiwo (14th NCAA, 66.35m/217-08). Jalani Davis also ranks in the NCAA top-50 in 35th at 63.54m (208-06).
• Jalani Davis' big day in the shot put from Florida's Tom Jones Memorial of 17.01m (55-09.75) ranks 19th in the NCAA, while Tedreauna Britt's career-best discus mark of 54.51m (178-10) sits at No. 38.
• The Ole Miss pole vault squad will be at full strength, and enter not only as one of the top teams nationally but also with two of the top standouts so far this season. Lyndsey Reed currently sits 11th in the nation at 4.28m (14-00.50), the second-best height in school history that also made her just the second Rebel to ever join the 14-foot club indoors or outdoors. Samara McConnell also ranks in the top-30 in 26th at her outdoor PR of 4.19m (13-9), the fourth-best in school history.
• Sintayehu Vissa (800-meter) and Anna Elkin (5K) will highlight a deep women's distance squad this week, both having set school records throughout the season. Vissa shattered the 1500-meter record at 4:16.70, and set the fastest 800-meter time at Ole Miss since 2015 at 2:05.01 -- the latter of which she will compete in at the conference meet this week. Elkin, meanwhile, took down the 5K record at 16:01.34, and will lead a delegation in the 5K that includes Skylar Boogerd, Cate Tracht and Loral Winn. Reigning SEC silver medalist in the 10K Clio Ozanne-Jaques will return to the conference meet in search of another medal, as is 2018 steeplechase runner-up Lisa Vogelgesang.
• Senior Kieshonna Brooks will make her return to the heptathlon for the first time in two years at the SEC Championships this week. Her career-best of 5,338 from the 2018 SEC Championships stands as the fifth-best in school history, as well as the national record in her native St. Kitts & Nevis.

MEN'S NOTES
• Ole Miss is looking to become the first school to win five straight men's 1500-meter titles since Arkansas did so from 1996-2000.
