Men’s Track & Field Run Fourth-Fastest DMR in School History at Alex Wilson Invite

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Ole Miss track & field's men's distance medley squad ran an impressive race at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invite on Saturday morning.
Ole Miss was led by a foursome of Gabe Scales (1200-meter, 2:53), Max Armstrong (400-meter, 47.0), Marcus Dropik (800-meter, 1:47) and Evan Thornton-Sherman (mile, 3:55). All four runners clocked career bests to finish with the fourth-best time in school history. In Ole Miss history, that 9:24.07 ranks fourth behind a 9:21.94 performance from 2022 and a 9:21.89 from 2023 – both also run on Notre Dame's oversized track at the Alex Wilson Invite.
The Rebel men's and women's track & field squads are now set for the 2025 SEC Indoor Championships, held this season at Texas A&M from Feb. 27 to March 1.
