TEAM NOTES
• Two 2018 SEC medalists return this meet in sophomore Lisa Vogelgesang (silver, 3000-meter steeplechase) and senior Lindsey Murray (bronze, pole vault). The Rebels also return all seven members of the SEC All-Freshman Team: Vogelgesang, Allen Gordon (long jump), Clio Ozanne-Jaques (5K), Everett Smulders (1500-meter), Shey Taiwo (discus), Ylvi Traxler (1500-meter) and Peyton Weissmann (pole vault).

• Ole Miss ranks in the USTFCCCA #EventSquad top-10 in five events: men's 1500-meter (No. 3, 3:42.24 avg.), men's 800-meter (No. 5, 1:48.99 avg.), women's 3000-meter steeplechase (No. 5, 10:37.20 avg.), men's triple jump (No. 6, 14.68m/48-02.00 avg.) and women's hammer (No. 8, 57.68m/189-03 avg.).

WOMEN'S NOTES
• The Rebel women hold 10 marks or times within the NCAA top-50 and nine additional performances sit in the NCAA East top-48.

• The top-ranked Rebel women's event is the 4x100-meter relay, which is coming off a historic school record performance at LSU on April 27. Ole Miss went toe-to-toe with the collegiate record holders and reigning NCAA champions LSU, falling short of beating out the Tigers by just one hundredth of a second at a new school record time of 43.75. The Rebel quartet of Kelly Rowe, Jayda Eckford, Kaira Simmons and Brandee Presley broke the previous record of 43.80 from 2015. The record time ranks 12th in the NCAA and No. 6 in both the East Region and SEC.

• Senior Lindsey Murray has had a stellar final campaign with the Rebels, as evidenced by yet another season best at LSU. Murray finished second behind Akron's Lucy Bryan (NCAA No. 3), clearing 4.31m (14-01.75), which falls within two inches of her school record 4.35m (14-03.25) that won her SEC bronze outdoors last season. Murray currently ranks No. 15 in the NCAA, No. 7 in the East Region and No. 4 in the SEC.

• Sophomore Shey Taiwo, a Second-Team All-American indoors in the weight throw, had a career day in the hammer at Auburn, recording the second-best throw in Ole Miss history at 63.87m (209-06). Taiwo currently ranks No. 22 in the NCAA, No. 14 in the East Region and No. 4 in the SEC, and in Rebel history she only trails NCAA Champion Janeah Stewart's record of 72.92m (239-03), the 10th-best throw in NCAA history that made Stewart the No. 4 collegiate hammer thrower all-time. Taiwo also ranks No. 34 in the East Region in the discus (50.61m/166-00).

• Sophomore Clio Ozanne-Jaques took down Mary Alex England's 2017 school record in the 5K, running 16:05.55 in the elite section of the women's 5K at Mt. SAC on April 19. That time currently puts her No. 43 nationally, No. 15 in the East Region and No. 7 in the SEC.

• Ozanne-Jaques also impressed in her first career 10K race at the Raleigh Relays to open the season, running the second-best time in Rebel history at 33:42.06. She currently ranks 32nd nationally and 12th in the East Region at that time. Freshman Victoria Simmons also had a successful trip to NC State, running the fifth-best time in school history at 34:24.00 (24th East).

• Freshman Jayda Eckford's incredible freshman season continues to roll on after running the fourth-best 200-meter time in school history at LSU. Eckford finished third at 23.24 (-0.1) and was the second-best collegian in the field behind fellow freshman from LSU, Sha'Carri Richardson, who ran the NCAA's sixth-best time this year at 22.78 for the win Eckford, meanwhile, ranks No. 35 in the NCAA and No. 17 in the East.

• Freshman Tedreauna Britt ranks in the top-50 in the discus at her Rebel outdoor debut of 53.45m (175-04) at the Trailblazer Challenge -- the fourth-best throw in school history and the 38th-best in the NCAA. Britt also ranks 37th in the East in the shot put (15.32m/50-03.25).

• Sophomore Lisa Vogelgesang opened her outdoor campaign in strong fashion in the elite section of the women's 3000-meter steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays, running 10:19.35. She currently leads the SEC at that time while also ranking 39th nationally and 17th in the East Region. As a freshman, Vogelgesang won silver in the steeplechase at the SEC Outdoor Championships at her PR of 10:06.00, the second-best time in school history and the No. 14 time ever run by a German U20 athlete.

• Fellow sophomore Maddie King is helping give the Rebels a one-two punch in the women's steeple SEC standings at her No. 2 time of 10:22.37, which was also run in the elite steeplechase at Mt. SAC. King currently ranks fourth all-time, and this year she sits No. 49 in the NCAA and No. 24 in the East Region. She also ranks 40th regionally in the 1500-meter (4:21.51).

• Junior Kieshonna Brooks scored 5,144 points in her first heptathlon of the season at the Spec Towns Invite at Georgia, currently putting her No. 45 in the NCAA and No. 13 in the East Region. Brooks' PR of 5,338 from the SEC Outdoor Championships last year stands as the national record in her native Saint Kitts & Nevis. The top-12 heptathlon scores in each region automatically qualify for the national meet.

• This season, Brooks has set new career-bests in four of her seven heptathlon events, including her latest long jump PR of 6.18m (20-03.50) from the War Eagle Invite (31st East). She also owns an NCAA wind-legal 100-meter hurdles time of 13.43 (+3.9) from LSU (26th East).

MEN'S NOTES
• The Rebel men hold 11 marks or times within the NCAA top-50 and three additional marks within the NCAA East Region top-48.

• Sophomore Waleed Suliman led the Rebel charge in the men's invite 1500-meter at the Bryan Clay Invite, running in the fast heat and clocking the NCAA's sixth-fastest time of 3:38.72. The top-six times nationally this year came from that heat. Suliman's time ranks as a PR and sits third all-time at Ole Miss behind Robert Domanic's record 3:36.33 from the 2018 Bryan Clay Invite (No. 9 in NCAA history) and Craig Engels' 3:37.66 from the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials. Suliman is the reigning SEC Indoor mile champion, making Ole Miss the first school in SEC history to win five consecutive men's mile titles.

• Ole Miss also has two additional NCAA top-50 times in the 1500-meter from the Joe Walker Invite from Cade Bethmann (18th, 3:41.65) and Dalton Hengst (34th, 3:43.92), while freshman Mario Garcia Romo ranks 22nd in the East Region at 3:44.69. Combined with Suliman's time, this quartet puts the Rebels No. 3 in the men's 1500-meter #EventSquad rankings from the USTFCCCA.

• Bethmann also leads a quartet of 800-meter runners that rank No. 5 in the #EventSquad rankings with his PR 1:47.81 (No. 18 NCAA) from the Bryan Clay Invite. Other NCAA top-50 time in the 800 that came from Bryan Clay include John Rivera Jr. (27th, 1:48.39) and Griffin Riley (37th, 1:48.74).

• Men's pole vaulters Peyton Weissmann and Cole Colozzo have both had superb seasons, as the duo have become the first pair of Rebels to join the 17-foot club in the same season in Ole Miss history. Weissmann, who is also one of just four Rebels to clear 17 feet both indoors and outdoors, opened the outdoor season at 5.35m (17-06.50) -- No. 19 NCAA, No. 6 East, No. 3 SEC and the third-best height in school history. Colozzo, meanwhile, had a career day at LSU two weeks ago, becoming the fifth member of the Ole Miss outdoor 17-foot club at 5.31m (17-05.00), a PR of nearly one foot that puts him No. 27 in the NCAA, No. 9 in the East, No. 5 in the SEC and fourth in school history.

• Sophomore Allen Gordon opened the season with a spectacular triple at the Trailblazer Challenge in Miami, winning the long jump at an outdoor wind-legal PR of 7.75m (25-05.25), while also finishing in the top-three in the high jump (2.12m/6-11.50) and triple jump (14.78m/48-06.00). Gordon set a new season-best in the high jump at LSU two weeks ago, clearing 2.16m (7-01.00) to tie his PR and move up to No. 27 in the NCAA and No. 16 in the East.

• Senior Mark Robertson broke the Ole Miss school record in the 10K at the Raleigh Relays to open the season, running a 49-second PR of 29:00.46 to break Bernard Kuria's 1996 record of 29:07.38. That time currently sits No. 33 in the NCAA and No. 14 in the East Region.

HEAD COACH CONNIE PRICE-SMITH
• Ole Miss head coach Connie Price-Smith is in her fourth season. Price-Smith, who was the head women's coach for Team USA at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, is in her 18th season overall as a head coach.

• In four seasons at Ole Miss, Price-Smith has already mentored seven NCAA champions, 61 First or Second-Team All-Americans, 29 SEC Champions and several of the highest SEC and national team finishes ever at Ole Miss -- including the highest SEC Outdoor finish ever for the women in fifth place in 2018.

• Price-Smith's coaching staff all returns as well, with associate head coach Andre Scott (jumps, women's multis), assistant coach Anthony Acklin (sprints, hurdles), assistant coach Brian Porter (pole vault, javelin, men's multis), assistant coach John Smith (throws) and director of operations Sasha Leeth all returning for their fourth seasons at Ole Miss, with associate head coach Ryan Vanhoy (distance) entering his sixth year as a Rebel.
